                         The article is devoted to the consideration of legal English in the context of its cognitive-discursive and communicative specifics. In particular, it is noted that legal discourse has the form of a stable institutional discourse that limits the choice of the format of dialogue with the principles of business communication, legality and law enforcement. At the same time, a number of components are distinguished, on the basis of which the texts of legal discourse are built, these include: subject of writing texts; description of the situation in which the communicative act is carried out between the author and the addressee; participants in this communicative act (possess both linguistic and extralinguistic knowledge)
