COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE SEMANTIC ADAPTATION OF ITALIANISMS AND GALLICISMS IN ECONOMIC TERMINOLOGY IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (BASED ON THE TERMS "PERSONNEL" AND «BANKRUPT")

Bragina Elmira Rayasovna  (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, State Budgetary Institution "Institute of Economic Research", Donetsk )

This paper presents a comparative analysis of the semantic adaptation of the terms "банкрот" (bankrupt) and "кадры" (staff), borrowed from Italian and French, respectively. The study is based on corpus analysis of texts, surveys of native speakers, and lexicographic analysis, which allows for the identification of changes in the meaning and usage of these terms over time. The aim of the research is to compare the stages of semantic adaptation of these terms as synonyms of native Russian words, as well as to determine the degree of their integration into the economic terminology of the Russian language. The analysis reveals that both terms have undergone processes of borrowing and adaptation that reflect socio-economic changes. However, they differ in semantics: "банкрот" is associated with negative connotations of financial failure, while "кадры" encompasses a broader range of meanings related to management and labor organization. The paper emphasizes how linguistic changes reflect cultural and economic transformations in society, demonstrating the complex mechanisms of adaptation of borrowed terms in the Russian language.

Keywords:semantic adaptation, bankrupt, staff, borrowing, corpus analysis, economic terminology, socio-economic changes, lexicographic analysis, negative connotations, linguistic changes.
