GRAMMATICAL STRUCTURE OF METEOROLOGICAL PAREMIAS

The paper deals with the Spanish meteorological paremias, their grammatical structure, their main structural-syntactic and semantic features. The choice of the term 'meteorological paremias' is justified and the difference between weather proverbs and weather omens, which constitute the content of this term, is explained. The main function of these paremias is revealed – it is weather forecasting. The content and structural specificity of weather proverbs with paremic markers and weather omens without these markers are analysed. The relations between the subject and the predicate of meteorological paremias in the structure of simple and complex sentences are considered, and the most frequent verbs that perform the function of predicate in the studied paremias are analysed.
