This article focuses on the media image of the US Army female soldiers. Illustrative material relies upon American specialised and non-specialised publications borrowed from Stars & Stripes, Army Times, The New York Times, The USA Today for 2015-2024. This paper touches upon the extra-linguistic aspect of the woke culture as a gender identity factor. The object of our study dwells on the media portrait of military women through the national qualitative press. The subject area focuses on metaphorical representations of a positive female troops image.
