The article focuses on the current technologies of developing oral speech skills in students of non-philological departments. The authors consider the features of project-based learning and the flipped classroom method, which promote the active use of a foreign language in a professional context, activating the interdisciplinary skills of students. Project work allows students to use a foreign language in solving real problems, thus developing critical thinking and communication skills. The flipped classroom method transfers theoretical training outside the classroom, freeing up time for oral speech practice. The article discusses the advantages and challenges of these technologies, their role in increasing motivation and professional training of students. The search for effective technologies for developing oral speech skills is one of the important tasks of modern methodology, which makes the issues raised in the article relevant.
