                         in the article the author examines the socio-cultural contexts that influence the transformation and modernization of the domestic system of higher pedagogical education. Particular attention is paid to the issue of practice-oriented training of future teachers. Based on the results of the empirical study, a conclusion is made about the need to form professionally significant value orientations of students, which contributes to the awareness of the professional mission and a more responsible attitude to the profession.
