This article is devoted to the implementation of the linguocultural approach to teaching Russian as a foreign language. Basic attention is spared to linguodidactic problems in the formation of lingvistic fnd cultural competence are identified a foreign audience. This author of the article lists the basic principles of study material selection, which provide the formation of the language, communicative, linguocultural competencies teaching are foreign students.
