The article is dedicated to the study of Pomor trade as a mechanism for forming cross-border interaction between the population of Northern Russia and Northern Norway. From a cultural perspective, it examines stable personal and social contacts, analyzes the mechanisms of knowledge and practice transmission that facilitated the mutual adaptation of trade participants. For the first time, Norwegian archival materials, data from expeditions by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Kenozersky National Park” on the Southern White Sea (2023-2024), and materials from the expedition of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Arkhangelsk Region “Arkhangelsk Local History Museum” to the Summer Shore (1990) are introduced into scientific circulation.
