The purpose of this study is to examine the genesis of the culture and religion of China, Japan and Korea, and to consider how traditional cultural and religious ideas are reflected in modern East Asian literature using the example of the novel «Blessing of the Celestials» by Mo Xiang Tong Xu. The article examines the features of the stages of development of East Asian culture and their representation in the plots and composition of literary texts. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that this issue has not come to the attention of cultural scientists, despite the fact that in the modern world the popularity of East Asian culture is growing. As a result, it was determined that modern East Asian works are based on cultural and religious allusions that give them depth of content.
