Sociology as a science has existed in China for over a hundred years, and economic sociology has gone through several stages of formation and development during this time. The formation of modern Chinese economic sociology was influenced by both the revival of the discipline abroad and the specifics of Chinese society and the peculiarities of historical development. This led to the emergence of unique scientific schools and theories with Chinese characteristics, which attracted the attention of the international academic community.
