Currently, there are a sufficient number of studies in Russian and foreign psychology and pedagogy devoted to the topic of achievement motivation, but not many of them address the topic of success and failure in sports activities. The study of the motivation of athletic achievements of adolescents is an urgent problem because it represents an important aspect of personality development. The purpose of the study is to identify the psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of teenagers' motivation for sports activities. The novelty of the research lies in the expansion of scientific ideas in educational psychology and the psychology of sports about the motivation of athletic achievements of adolescents in the conditions of a children's and youth sports school.
